National Assembly adopts the state budget for 2025

After a 22-hour session, the parliament approved the state budget for 2025. 138 MPs voted in favour, 78 voted against and two MPs abstained.

 The projected revenues are EUR 45.5 billion (90 billion BGN). The expenses are set at EUR 48.6 billion (96 billion BGN). The budget deficit is set at 3% of GDP, and no tax increases are planned. The government debt is expected to reach EUR 31.22 billion (61.7 billion BGN), or 26.6% of GDP. The amount of debt the state can take on in 2025 is EUR 9.65 billion (18.9 billion BGN).

The minimum wage in the country will be EUR 545 (1077 BGN).
The proposal by "DPS – New Beginning" for state-owned chain stores, where products will be sold with a markup of up to 10%, was also approved. EUR 50.59 million (100 million BGN) have been earmarked for this.
