Adopting the euro will make Bulgaria even more attractive to tourists

Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh opened the conference "Bulgarian Tourism and Bulgaria's Accession to the Eurozone", organized by the National Board of Tourism. The minister pointed out the key role of tourism for the Bulgarian economy and said that the entry into the eurozone is a strategic opportunity for growth and economic stability. According to him, the tourism sector is ready for entry into the eurozone, but the information campaign for citizens is lagging behind.

It was pointed out that the adoption of the euro will facilitate the travel of tourists from the eurozone, who in 2024 were nearly 30% of all foreign tourists visiting the country. The single currency will eliminate the need for currency exchange and will provide greater price transparency, thus making Bulgaria an even more attractive destination.
