Interior Minister: Nearly 50 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for crimes against the political rights of citizens

Nearly 50 pre-trial proceedings have been initiated for crimes against the political rights of citizens, caretaker Minister of Interior Atanas Ilkov told journalists. Nearly 140 alerts have been received. 

More than 100 inspections have been carried out and almost a quarter of them have been terminated. Fourteen alerts contained evidence of a crime. So far, 23 people have been detained. Vote-buying schemes in exchange for firewood are becoming increasingly rare.
