Albena resort celebrates its 55th anniversary

Albena resort celebrated its 55th anniversary with 11,000 tourists, most of them from the Scandinavian countries, reported BTA. The number of tourists from France, Czechia and Poland have also increased. There are as many Bulgarian and Romanian tourists as last year. Currently, all hotels are operating at full capacity, as there is 100% occupancy throughout the complex.

 Albena is a quiet and peaceful resort, with tourists favoring beachfront hotels and those of higher categories. Around 2,100 people are employed in the resort at the moment, with one-third of them being foreign workers. Among them are employees from Nepal, Bali, Indonesia, two kitchen teams from Turkiye and workers from Kyrgyzstan. Albena's 5-star hotels will host various events throughout the year. The SPA centre is open year-round. Many sports and congress events will start after the high season. Renovations are planned for the next season which will begin in April 2025. The 3-star Boryana Hotel will be completely renovated and will gain a four-star rating.The investment will come from Albena AD and the German company Der Touristik.
