The first tourists of the new tourist season arrive today on a flight from the Polish city of Krakow. At Burgas Airport, they will be welcomed with a water salute and souvenir gifts in the presence of the Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borsos and the airport management.

Burgas Airport is now open after ten days of runway repairs. Its charter program will begin in May, when the first organized groups from Poland, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Belgium are expected.

“The surprise this season comes from Germany, which is increasing the number of its flights to Burgas Airport by 70%,” said the director of Burgas Airport, Vasil Atanasov.

According to the Tourism Minister, early bookings for holidays in Bulgaria are going very well. “We probably have a growth in this regard of between 10 and 20 percent compared to 2024,” he said.

The minister will provide more details about the preparation of the summer tourist season at a briefing today in the seaside city.
