Elite soloists and ensembles will take part in the 15th edition of the “Balabanov House Music Days” International Festival, opening in Plovdiv today.
The festival begins with renowned violinist Svetlin Roussev who will perform solo pieces, and will end his performance in partnership with young talent Viktor Traykov and pianist Maria-Elena Sredeva.
The programme features the Belgian Brass Soloists and the duo Strasho Temkov, flute and Elena Atanasovska, piano from North Macedonia, while the Bulgarian musicians include opera prime Krassimira Stoyanova, pianist Ludmil Angelov, Vesko Eschkenazy, concertmaster of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam.
The venues of the festival will be some of Plovdiv’s most emblematic sites – the Balabanov House, the Episcopal Basilica, the Roman stadium and the Small Basilica.
