President Rumen Radev has signed the decree for the appointment of a caretaker government proposed by PM Dimitar Glavchev. The President scheduled the elections for MEPs and early parliamentary elections for June 9, 2024.

Caretaker Minister of Foreign Affairs will be Stefan Dimitrov, not Ivaylo Tsenov, as was the case in the draft structure and composition announced on April 5. Stefan Dimitrov is a career diplomat and ambassador of Bulgaria in Montenegro.
