At the Bulgarian church St. George in Edirne, Vice President Iliana Iotova will inaugurate a bas-relief of Father Alexander Cikirik today.
At 10.30 AM local time (9.30 AM Bulgarian time) a memorial service will be held in honour of Father Cikiri, who passed away one year ago. The bas-relief is by sculptor Kamen Starchev.
Father Alexander Cikirik served at the Bulgarian church St. George in Edirne for many years, was a member of the Union of Thracian Associations in Bulgaria and a staunch champion of the preservation and consolidation of Bulgarian traditions.
