88 years after the firstbroadcasts by the Bulgarian radio targeted at audiences abroad, and 87 years after the foreign language broadcasts became part of the BNR’s programming, Radio Bulgaria’s mission of building bridges between Bulgarians around the world and spreading knowledge about Bulgaria goes on.
Modern technology and the digital revolution have made it possible to reach out to a wider audience.
Today, Radio Bulgaria offers journalistic content on different media platforms including – broadcasts for the Bulgarians living in other countries, broadcasts for foreigners living in Bulgaria and outside the country, as well as broadcasts for Bulgarian citizens speaking a native language other than Bulgarian. We are on social media in all of our 11 languages, and make use of all communication channels to keep in touch with our audiences – both traditional and new.
