The monument to the Soviet army in central Sofia should go to the Museum of Socialist Art or wherever it is decided to be moved, said the new mayor of the Bulgarian capital Vasil Terziev, in response to a journalistic question. He added that whatever depends on the municipality will be done to make this happen.

Vasil Terziev is not worried about the intention of Vanya Grigorova who lost the elections, to contest the results in court. In his words, many of the election violations are to his detriment: "Polling stations where I have 120 votes write zero votes, reversed results - I have more votes than Mrs. Grigorova, and they write them the other way around."

Vasil Terziev stated that he would be looking for common ground with everyone in the Municipal Council.

In the future, technologies will be increasingly used in the municipality and in the relationship with businesses and citizens, the mayor stressed. The new team will work for the development of the modern innovative economy - it will digitize processes such as permit regimes, create an application with all services for citizens - parking, paying local taxes and fees, reporting, receiving information, and a chatbot will respond to questions of Sofia residents.
