The caretaker government will lift the ban on the export of fuels, derived from Russian oil, by the Lukoil refinery in Burgas.

This draft decision has been published for public discussion. The draft has been signed by caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev and submitted by Minister of Energy Rossen Hristov, of Economy Nikola Stoyanov, and of Finance Rositza Velkova.

The ban on the export, by Lukoil, of fuels made from Russian oil was imposed at the insistence of former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov as a measure aimed at reducing fuel prices in Bulgaria. The decision was approved on 29 July, 2022, in the last days of the regular government.
