Only 5% of the hospitalized patients have severe Covid-19. Hospital bed occupancy is 4%, but the health system is not overloaded, outgoing Minister of Health Asena Serbezova said in Parliament. Minister Serbezova was heard at the request of the parliamentary group of "There is Such a People" party.

Omicron continues to be the dominant variant, Asena Serbezova pointed out. In Sofia-City, Varna and Burgas districts, the coronavirus incidence rate is above the national average. The number of patients is expected to increase gradually. The spread of Covid-19 can be contained if anti-pandemic measures are observed.
