Stara Zagora district is becoming a preferred tourism destination

At the end of the summer, the number of overnight stays in Stara Zagora district increased by nearly 30% as compared to the same period last year, data of the Regional Statistical Office – Southeast show. In August this year, a total of 62 accommodation facilities (hotels, motels and huts) equipped with more than 10 beds were operating on the territory of Stara Zagora district. Star Zagora, known as the city of linden trees and straight streets, has so much to offer to its visitors. The Antique Forum Augusta Trayana, built during the rule of Emperor Marcus Aurelius (161-180), Bedechka Park, where visitors can find more than 2,000 trees, including the impressive 500-years-old plane tree and the architectural complex “Museum of Religions” located in Eski Mosque, are among the most visited tourist sites in Stara Zagora.
