Parent association threatens protests if children do not start school year with in-person attendance

In a letter to the state institutions, the parent association “Maintaining school as a centre for children” demands an in-person start to the school year on 15 September, otherwise protests will be organized.

“At the current rate of spread of Covid-19, the school year will either not begin with in-person attendance, or most of the school children will pass over to distance learning right after 15 September. We shall not accept that,” said Magdalena Abadjieva, one of the founders of the association, and added that thousands signed the letter in just a few hours, BNR-Stara Zagora reports.
