Bulgaria reports dramatic increase in new daily infections with Covid-19

393 are the new cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria compared to 94 in the previous reported day. In terms of percentage, the increase is significantly more limited. 1.68% of the 23,371 tests performed returned positive, according to the National Coronavirus Information Portal. 


Most new cases are registered in Sofia - 109, in Plovdiv - 39, Varna with 30 and Burgas with 28. Pleven, Yambol and Vratsa have reported only 2 new cases each.

The number of registered active patients in Bulgaria has increased from 8,379 to 8,702. 851 patients are currently hospitalized as 82 of them are in intensive care. 

In the last 24 hours, 7 people died with established Covid-19. 63 patients recovered.

A total of 8,310 vaccines were administered on Monday. So far, 1,006,173 people in Bulgaria have been fully vaccinated.
