Bulgarian health authorities aim at 50,000 vaccinations a day

Pfizer is the most preferred vaccine in Bulgaria. The highest number of jabs have been administered in the age group between 25 and 49 years. At the moment there are enough doses, and in the last week of May another 400,000 are coming, said the outgoing Minister of Health Prof. Kostadin Angelov.

It is possible for the walk-in green vaccination corridors to continue to operate after May 9, without the need for prior registration for vaccination. It is a matter of organization on the part of health inspectorates and GPs to continue immunization at this pace.
"The goal we are pursuing, which we can achieve in May, is 50,000 vaccination a day. We will soon reach one million vaccinated Bulgarians and together with those who have already recovered from the disease we will have 1.5 million under protection," Angelov said.
