“Fish fantasies” and “Festival of Danube cuisine” in Rousse

Photo: archive

Hotels and restaurants in Rousse have come up with a special Danube menu with the idea of attracting more tourists to the city.

The menu in question will tempt guests with fish from the river – carp, catfish, whitefish – cooked in different ways. The region is famed for its original fish soup recipe which is on the menu of most local restaurants. The Danube menu will be presented in Rousse on 24 October at the traditional “Festival of Danube cuisine”. This year the festival coincides with the “On a knife tip” competition at which students from the Ivan P. Pavlov professional secondary school of tourism will demonstrate their cooking skills and give free rein to their imagination.
