"At the discussion on the rule of law in Bulgaria, which took place in the European Parliament, many unpleasant things were heard about this country. In fact, it was what people protesting in the squares are saying, too. But no one should expect Brussels to fire Boyko Borissov instead of the Bulgarians." This was said in an interview with BNT by Arman Babikyan, one of the organizers of the anti-government protests in this country and part of the so-called Poison Trio.
"We want a connection between the rule of law and spending money. We see abuses of EU funds," Babikyan pointed out. When asked who pays the Poison Trio, he answered that citizens had transferred about 51,000 euros to a donation account, as the money is used mainly for sound equipment.
As of today, protesters have threatened to launch actions against the offices of parties in the ruling coalition, as well as in sports venues visited by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.
