Six “BSP for Bulgaria" MPs are leaving the parliamentary group of the party. The news has been announced at a press conference held in the National Assembly. Those who left are: Krassimir Yankov, Valeri Zhablyanov, Dimitar Stoyanov, Lalo Kirilov, Georgi Andreev and Nikolay Ivanov. They will complete their term as independent MPs. All except Zhablyanov are also to terminate their membership in the BSP.

Their decision comes after opponents of re-elected leader Kornelia Ninova were removed from the broad leadership at the party's 50th congress, which took place last weekend. After the decision of the six MPs, BSP for Bulgaria is currently represented in Bulgarian parliament by 72 MPs.
