Dairy and bee products, juices, wines, handmade jewelry, painted glass, decorations, souvenirs - this is what masters and craftsmen offer at the Roman market, which has been opened for a consecutive year at the Sexaginta Prista Fortress in Ruse. On market day, legionnaires from the First Thracian Cohort will demonstrate fighting techniques and weapons from the era of Ancient Rome, and students will make Roman hairstyles for those who wish. There will also be a tasting of Roman dishes from pre-Columbian products, including fish soup according to a millennial recipe.
All this will remind visitors of the times when the fortress of Sexaginta Prista was part of the Danube Limes of the Roman Empire.
