Photo: БГНЕС

Yesterday, the Minister of Environment and Water Emil Dimitrov inspected on the spot the implementation of the project "Sustainable Management of Rila National Park "Phase II". The Minister visited the area of the Seven Rila Lakes and found that the construction equipment had been removed from the site and the activities had been stopped.

A comprehensive inspection of the project by experts from the Environment Operational Programme is to be carried out. The inspection was provoked by the sharp reaction of the environmentalists, after a photo of an excavator near one of the Rila lakes appeared on social networks.
