Bulgaria's President sends letter to Pope Francis with words of gratitude

Bulgaria's President Rumen Radev has sent a letter to Pope Francis. Radev voices his belief that the shared messages of the Holy Father's apostolic trip to Bulgaria in May 2019 are lasting and especially relevant today. The Bulgarian Head of State declares that Pope Francis continues to be an example in these days of great trial for humanity. 
"Together, we must follow the conscience and care for the salvation of the brightest in every human soul - faith, humanity, dignity," Radev says in his letter. 
He also expresses his appreciation for the importance for Bulgarian catholic community of raising the Catholic Apostolic Exarchate into Saint John XXIII eparchy.
