“Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania” has sent an invitation to strategic investors for participation in the construction of Belene NPP on a market principle without state guarantees. The call also refers to a declaration of interest in acquiring a minority stake or purchasing electricity produced by the plant, the Ministry of Energy announced. Bulgaria reserves the right to a blocking quota and has in-kind contribution - a licensed construction site, available equipment, issued permits, licenses and other documents related to the project. The deadline for applying is 90 days from the date of publication in the Official Journal of the EU. Expected time for completion of the procedure is 12 months.
