In August 2017 the total business climate indicator in Bulgaria increased slightly with 0.5 basis points as compared to the previous month, when it saw a 1.4% decline. The indicator continues to be stable and above its long-term average, a research of the National Statistical Institute shows. This was mainly due to improved business climate in retail trade and the service sector. The business climate in industry decreased with 2.2 basis points in August, but according to the entrepreneurs in that sector, production activity remains high which raises more-favorable expectations about the next three months.
