More than 900 children are looking for adoptive parents, families looking to adopt a child double that number

At the beginning of the year, there are more than 1,600 families who want to adopt a child, while a little over 900 children are looking to be adopted.

According to Social Assistance Agency data, 377 children were adopted in this country in 2023. Most of them are aged under 5, with fewer children aged over 10, and one teenager aged 15.
