Bulgarian ornithologists observed more than 1,000 pink pelicans in Lake Atanasovsko near the coastal city of Burgas. A flock of 210 pink flamingos was observed in the southern part of the lake. The birds are getting ready for this year’s breeding season, the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds announced after the regular ornithological monitoring in this lake.
