Bulgaria’s acrobatic paraglider pilot Veselin Ovcharov has set a national record in the length of flight during a series of paragliding flights close to the town of Quixada, Brazil. Ovcharov managed to cover the distance of 344 kilometers by air, which is the longest flight made by a Bulgarian paraglider so far. The previous record was 313 km set by Nikolay Velev.
Veselin Ovcharov is now to participate in the most prestigious air race - World Air Games, which will be held in early December in Dubai. Ovcharov and Bulgarian paraglider Valeri Tsvetanov are the only Bulgarians who will participate in air games.
