Eurostat: Unemployment in Bulgaria falls to 4.4%, EU average stabilises at 6.4

The euro area unemployment rate stabilised for the second consecutive month in May at 6.4%, the lowest level since 1998. In Bulgaria the unemployment rate fell from 4.5% in April to 4.4% in May. Youth unemployment (under 25s) in the country is 14%. This is according to data from the statistical office of the European Union Eurostat. The highest unemployment rate in May was recorded in Spain (11.7%), followed by Greece (10.6%).
