Seme Balgarsko festival opens in Sevlievo

On 26 and 27 April, Sevlievo in Central Bulgaria is hosting the festival “Seme Balgarsko”. For its 11th edition, the organizers have a colourful traditional lineup.

“The festival will enable visitors to meet manufacturers of Bulgarian products, arts and crafts masters from near and far, and will take them back in time to the creation of the Bulgarian alphabet,” the organizers say.

Support will be given to a charity campaign targeted at couples with reproductive problems; 22,000 trees will be handed out. For the children there will be workshops where they will be able to make kites, candles etc.

At 12 noon, guests to the festival will be able to meet the “cosmic voice” of Bulgaria, folk singer from the Rhodopes Valya Balkanska.
