Warming continues on Thursday

On Thursday, the lowest temperatures will range from 6°C to 11°C, for Sofia around 10°C. It will be mostly sunny during the day. In the afternoon, there will be temporary increases in cloud cover over the mountainous regions in the western half of the country, but only isolated brief showers are expected there. There will be light easterly and southeasterly winds. There will be moderate wind in Eastern Bulgaria. Maximum temperatures will range between 21°C and 26°C, around 22°C in the capital city.

It will be mostly sunny in the mountains. In the afternoon, there will be temporary increase in cloudiness over the massifs in the western half of the country, with a chance of isolated rain showers. There will be moderate to strong southerly wind. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 meters will be around 18°C, at 2,000 meters around 12°C.

Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny with a moderate easterly and southeasterly wind. Daytime highs will range from 12°C to 16°C. The sea water temperature is 9°C-10°C. Sea state 2.

On Friday, the cloud cover will be mostly significant. Rain showers are expected — light in the morning, but becoming more widespread and heavier in the afternoon and evening due to a passing cold front. Western and Central Bulgaria will see the heaviest rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms. The lowest temperatures will be 1–2 degrees higher, but maximum temperatures will be lower, staying below 20°C in most of the country.
