“We Continue the Change/Democratic Bulgaria (PP/DB) will not take part in today’s vote of no confidence in the government of Rosen Zhelyazkov,” said PP co-chair Kiril Petkov. “The motion of no confidence we shall submit after the accession date for the Eurozone is set will be over all issues the government has not been coping with,” he added.

There has been some movement on the topic of anti-corruption with regard to the anti-corruption legislation connected with the rules of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Kiril Petkov said. In his words, after a year and a half, GERB and DPS-New Beginning remembered these laws, and this means that strong pressure has to be applied on the ruling majority if we want it to act in the right direction.

On Friday, PP/DB will invite Boec civic association so as to get acquainted with the data regarding the contraband cover-up by interior ministry employees, Kiril Petkov said. He also commented the trade war the US is waging on Europe: “At the same time we know there is a real war raging to the East, which shows that we need to be at the centre of Europe, not just economy-wise but also from the view point of national security.”
