Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov described the vote of no confidence in the government over its foreign policy, debates on which are currently being held in the National Assembly, as an attempt to sow discord between the parties in the ruling coalition.

“This vote, the debates on it and tomorrow’s vote are not so much aimed at criticizing the government for two months of governance within the framework of the executive branch,” the Prime Minister said. He pointed out that the ruling majority was much more resilient, so as not to be misled by the motives and subject of the debates.

Our country has followed its value model and its direction of development for over three decades, and this is democracy, Rosen Zhelyazkov said. "Bulgaria is part of Europe, part of the collective system for protecting its national security and integrity. This is the unwavering position that this government will follow," he concluded.
