Condition of the Kočani fire victims receiving treatment in Bulgaria remains serious

The condition of the 14 victims of the tragic incident in the Republic of North Macedonia, who have been admitted for treatment in Bulgaria, remains serious, the Ministry of Health announced.

The eight patients hospitalized in the capital's emergency hospital "N. I. Pirogov" are on mechanical ventilation and remain in the intensive care unit. Three patients in the multi-profile hospital in Varna are in serious condition. Two of them are on mechanical ventilation, and the third is with a nasal mask for oxygen therapy.

The condition of the patients in the University Hospital "St. George" - Plovdiv also continues to be serious, but stable. Their treatment continues in intensive care conditions.

"The people's anger will be unleashed if no one is held responsible for what happened in Kočani!", journalist Atanas Velichkov from the website "Tribuna.mk" told the Bulgarian National Radio.

59 people died and over 150 were injured in the fire at the disco in Kočani.
