The magazine of the Bulgarian news agency BTA called LIK dedicates its February issue to the Bulgarian National Radio. The magazine was presented today in the marble lobby of the BNR building.

The BNR marked its 90th anniversary on 25 January this year. On this date in 1935, Tsar Boris III issued a decree making all radio broadcasting activities in Bulgaria state monopoly. Parallel with this event, an exhibition opened called “90 years BNR – the radio station of generations of Bulgarians”, presenting photographs and archive documents from the Archives State Agency and the BTA.

Radio Bulgaria, with its content in 11 languages has developed into a multimedia portal dedicated to Bulgarians around the world. The information connected with the lives of our compatriots living abroad and with events within the Bulgarian communities there is now better structured and more visible, while the news and the topics from Bulgaria are presented in a better way, with the necessary background information so that even people who do not follow the information stream can understand the ongoing processes,” Daniel Nenchev, head of the BNR’s Strategic Development department said for LIK magazine.
