The annual conference of Bulgaria’s Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov will take place from February 25 to 26, 2025. Today, Admiral Eftimov will present the "Analysis of the state and preparedness of the Armed Forces in 2024." Defense Minister Atanas Zapryanov is among the participants in the session. President Rumen Radev, who is Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Bulgarian Armed Forces, and Major General John Clark, Deputy Chief of Staff (Plans) at NATO's Joint Force Command in Naples, are also invited.

Among the challenges for Bulgaria are the need to ensure conditions for the acceptance of the new F-16 fighter aircraft at Graf Ignatievo, improving the quality of training in the Air Force following the tragic deaths of two pilots in an incident last fall, the introduction of new artillery systems and equipment, etc.
