Weather forecast for February 18

Warning for significant precipitation in ten regions of eastern Bulgaria

On Tuesday, the lowest temperatures will be between minus 5 and 0°C; in Sofia - around minus 5°C. It will remain cold and cloudy with snowfalls over most of the country and rainfall in the southeastern regions. The snow cover will continue to increase, most in northeastern Bulgaria. During the day, snowfalls from the west will gradually begin to stop. Over the southwestern regions, the cloud cover will break. The highest temperatures will reach 2- 3°C, slightly higher in the extreme southwestern regions and at the Black Sea coast. In the capital city, the maximum temperature will be around 0°C.

It will be cloudy in the mountains with snowfalls, heavy in the eastern part of the Balkan Mountain where the wind will be moderate from the south-southeast and there will be conditions for blizzards. The highest temperature at an altitude of 1200 m. will be minus 2°C; at 2000 m. - about minus 7°C.

At the Black Sea coast it will be cloudy with rainfalls. The highest temperatures will be between 1 and 5°C. The temperature of the sea water is about 6°C.
