Five authors and four translators will be residents at the Sofia Literature and Translation House in 2025

Five authors and four translators will be residents at the Sofia Literature and Translation House in 2025, the organizers announced.

A resident at Sofia Literature and Translation House will be Natalia Matolinets, a novelist and short stories writer from Lviv, Ukraine.

Anna Matilda Brück is a Finnish writer, producer and journalist.

Andreas Tretner, a German translator and recipient of numerous awards, translates prose and poetry from Bulgarian, Russian and Czech into German.

Monika Herceg is a Croatian poet, editor and playwright. Her works have been translated into twenty languages.

Bojan Babić is a Serbian writer from Belgrade. His works address pressing social issues.

Georgia Spadoni is a translator from Jesi, Italy. Giorgia has made a name for herself with her translation of "Circo Bulgaria" by Deyan Enev, which won her the Polski Kot Award 2024 for Best Translation from a Slavic language.

Marco Vidal González (Spain) is a graduate in Slavic Philology from the University of Granada.

Marija Andrijašević is a Croatian writer from Split, a recipient of multiple literary awards. During her stay in Sofia in November, she will focus on writing her new novel.

Yana Ellis is a translator from Bulgarian and German into English, editor and modern foreign languages teacher. She holds an MA in Translation from the University of Bristol.
