"Don’t Close Your Eyes'' wins awards and gains popularity at international film festivals

The Bulgarian film ''Don’t Close Your Eyes'' has won five awards at the Christian Film Festival in the USA, BTA reported, citing the producers. It was awarded for Best Feature Film, Best Producer - Bogdan Darev, Best Actor - Alexander Kanev and Best Supporting Actor - Krastyu Lafazanov and Hristo Garbov.

''Don’t Close Your Eyes'' has also been selected as a finalist at the 52nd annual ICVM Crown Awards featuring over 400 titles from around the world. The festival has been held in the United States for over half a century. The film also has five nominations at the prestigious London Independent Film Festival. It is nominated in the following categories: Best Editing in a Foreign Language Film; Best Director in a Foreign Language Film; Best Foreign Language Film; Best Film of the London 2025 Festival; Outstanding Actor and Actress - Maria Kavardjikova and Krastyu Lafazanov.

Actors Pavel Popandov, Irena Milyankova, Vladislav Karamfilov (Vladi Vargala), Dobrin Dosev and Nikolay Urumov also act in the film. The cinematography is by Ivo Peychev.
