On January 25, the Aleko chalet on Vitosha Mountain near Sofia will become a center of winter sports and entertainment on the occasion of World Snow Day. ‎

Vitosha Winter Fest 2025, organized by the Sofia Municipality and "Sofia - World Capital of Sports", will be held under the motto "Discover, Have Fun, Experience" and will offer visitors a rich program with attractive events. There will be various competitions and games, such as sledding, parallel slalom, ski mountaineering, sprint cross-country skiing, children's competitions, etc.‎

One of the main attractions of the event is snowbiking - downhill cycling on snow, which made its world debut six years ago at the Vitosha Winter Fest. Since then, the discipline has established itself in the international sports calendar.

For the fifth consecutive year, the "Sledge Zone" will also be open - a special place for sledding, where young and old will enjoy the snowy emotions.

The program also includes quizzes with prizes, competitions for the most attractive vision, a snowball fight, tug-of-war and snow figure making, etc. At the end of the day, a "treasure hunt" in the snow will be held.

This year, World Snow Day is celebrated in 59 countries and is dedicated to the active lifestyle and the joy of winter sports. ‎
