Bulgarian paintings presented in "Art and Diplomacy" exhibition in New York

Bulgaria participates in the exhibition "Art and Diplomacy", which was opened in a gallery on Broadway, with two canvases, the Bulgarian Consulate General in New York announced on Facebook.

The exhibition is organized by the Society of Foreign Consuls in New York. "Bulgaria is represented by two Bulgarian artists, one of whom has already gained popularity with his work in the USA, while the other’s great talent is yet to be recognised across the world. What unites them is the connection of their works with Bulgarian Orthodoxy," the mission says.

Houben Tcherkelov presents the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia, which is one of the symbols of Bulgaria. Hannah Ivanov participates in the exhibition with a canvas-collage with photos of Bulgarian icons, which shows the place of Orthodoxy in personal space, BTA reports.
