Heavy traffic expected as travellers are returning from Greece after the holidays

Heavy traffic is expected on the first working day of the New Year. The most intense traffic is expected to be from Greece, as according to tour operators, most of the New Year's packages end on January 2. 

Thousands of Bulgarians chose to welcome the New Year in Greece. After the fall of the Schengen border, crossing the border points with Greece is expected to be fast. Additional police teams will monitor road traffic and will check drivers for alcohol, drug use, and speeding.
