The Ruse-Giurgiu ferry line and the future third bridge over the Danube River will be part of the military infrastructure of the South-North military corridor, caretaker Minister of Defence Atanas Zapryanov said in response to a question by MP Martin Dimitrov. Minister Zapryanov reminded that Bulgaria is committed, through international formats, to the priority construction of facilities along the route of the "South-North" military corridor.

Military mobility is a flagship initiative of the EU-NATO cooperation. It aims to ensure the rapid and efficient movement of military contingents and equipment during routine activities, conflicts, as well as NATO and EU assistance to Bulgaria in the event of a military attack, the ministry clarified.
