Karlos Nassar has won another prestigious award at the World Weightlifting Championships in Bahrain. He was declared the No. 1 weightlifter among all 232 participants in the competition in Manama.

Nassar's world record of 405 kg in the 89 kg category gives him the maximum 1000 points under the "Robi Points" system, introduced by the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF). It compares the results between weightlifters in different categories by introducing a correction factor depending on the personal weight of the competitors. Nassar became No. 1 at the world championships for the first time in his career, after being the best at the European championships twice in a row - 2023 and 2024.
