The main trading partners are Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece and France, which account for 62.2 percent of exports to the EU, according to data from the National Statistical Institute. Compared to 2022, the decline in exports to the EU was 7.3%.
Imports of goods to Bulgaria from the EU from January to September 2024 declined by 5.4% compared to the same period in 2023 and amounted to 21 billion euros. The largest imports were from Germany, Romania, Italy, Greece and Poland.
