In a letter to Minister of Education Galin Tsokov, the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association expresses concern over the state plan for admissions for the 2025-2026 academic year, in which the number of vocational classes in schools are being reduced by over 1%.

“This tendency runs counter to the economic needs and development strategies in vocational education,” Rositsa Stelyanova, programmes and projects director at the association. This means a deviation from the agreed increase in student admissions, she added. “There should be an increase of such classes by approximately 3%; STEM classes should be increased by 50%,” she said further.

This is the reason why, on 5 December, the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association is organizing a round table to present an analysis of the problems ascertained. “But we are worried it may be too late as the admissions plan has already started,” said Rositsa Stelyanova.
