In a letter to the PP-DB

GERB leader Boyko Borissov offers a way out of the political crisis

GERB leader Boyko Borissov has sent a letter to the We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (PP-DB) coalition proposing a way out of the political crisis. The information was confirmed by BNR sources. 

Borissov has proposed that the leader of the Democrats for a Strong Bulgaria (DSB, part of the DB), Atanas Atanasov, should be elected president of the 51st National Assembly and that a GERB representative should head a future government.

The PP-DB has yet to discuss the proposal and will come up with a position.

Yesterday, the fifth attempt by Parliament to elect a speaker was unsuccessful. After voting on four candidates, the run-off was between Silvi Kirilov of the There is Such a People (ITN) party and Raya Nazaryan of GERB-SDS, but neither received the required number of votes.
The sixth attempt to elect a chairman will take place next Wednesday, 27 November, exactly one month after the parliamentary elections.
