Weather forecast for Bulgaria for 22 November 2024

Stormy winds, highs ranging from 6 to 20 degrees

On Friday, the wind from the south will increase and will be moderate and strong, near the northern slopes of the mountains of southern Bulgaria stormy wind is expected Clouds will be patchy, significant over the western areas, but will quickly begin to increase in the afternoon from the northwest. 

Morning temperatures will be between minus 4°C and 1°C, in Sofia minus 3°C - minus 4°C.  

Maximum temperatures on Friday will be in a wide range - from 6°C-7°C in the western regions of the Danube plain, where it will be almost quiet, to 20°C in the lower parts of the Balkan Range, in Sofia - about 16°C. 

Rainfall is expected in the evening in north-western Bulgaria, as it will cover the whole country during the night.  

Broken clouds are expected over the mountains, with snow falling on ridges and peaks in places. Strong and gusty southwesterly winds will blow, increasing to gale force during the day. The maximum temperature at 1,200 m will be about 9°C, at 2,000 m - about 2°C. 

Moderate and strong south-southwesterly wind will blow along the Black Sea coast. Maximum temperatures there will be between 15° and 18°C.

A cold front will pass through the Balkans. There will be rain from west to east, changing to snow as temperatures fall.

Daytime highs will be 21°C  in Athens, 18°C in Istanbul, 14°C in Bucharest and 9°C in Belgrade.
