Dr. Nevin Feti, Professor Sasho Penov and Galina Toneva-Dacheva were sworn in as constitutional judges. The ceremony was held in the open session hall of the Constitutional Court. After taking the oath, the new constitutional judges signed their oath sheets.

The newly elected constitutional judges are replacing Filip Dimitrov, Professor Mariana Karagyozova and Tanya Raykovska.

The event was attended by President Rumen Radev, Supreme Court of Cassation President Galina Zaharova, and Supreme Administrative Court (SAC)  President Georgi Cholakov.

Cholakov's seven-year term expires at the end of November, and a few days ago he was appointed by the Judicial Chamber of the Supreme Judicial Council to continue as president from 22 November until the election of a new SAC president. The election is scheduled for 20 March 2025.

Regarding the decision of the Judges' College of the Supreme Judicial Council to appoint Georgi Cholakov as acting President of the Supreme Administrative Court, President Radev stated that thе practice of making decisions that contradict constitutional expediency and that do not fit into the framework of constitutional tolerance is increasing.  According to him, by appointing interim officials, the requirements that come with issuing decrees are circumvented, the principles of tenure are also circumvented, guarantees for the independence of institutions are abrogated and the powers of the head of state are bypassed. Such are the cases of the acting Prosecutor General and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Bulgaria in Ukraine, said Rumen Radev.
