The first case for partial annulment of the elections has been opened

The first lawsuit requesting a partial annulment of the elections is already a fact. Shortly after "There is Such a People" party submitted a request to challenge the legality of the election of MPs in 52 polling stations in the early parliamentary elections on 27 October, the Constitutional Court announced that the case has already been initiated.

The court is yet to rule on the admissibility of the request, which is likely to happen after the expiry of the 15-day deadline for contesting the elections. According to the Electoral Code, if the Constitutional Court decides to consider the merits of the case, it must rule within two months. The request for cassation does not suspend the implementation of the decision of the Central Electoral Commission, which announced the new 240 MPs.
