Bansko has been recognized as one of the most desired destinations during the World Travel Market London. The resort town has entered the top 10 of Lonely Planet’s ranking "Best in Travel 2025". "This is another well-deserved recognition for our tourism, which adds value to Bulgaria's image", said Caretaker Minister of Tourism Evtim Miloshev.

Bansko is a leading ski destination in Europe, but Lonely Planet also recommends the town for its unique atmosphere and cultural heritage. Among the attractions that make it a preferred spot for tourists are its historic old town and the diverse cultural experiences offered throughout the year.

Lonely Planet, the world’s leading travel guide publisher, presented its list of 30 must-visit destinations for 2025, with each one selected for its uniqueness and commitment to sustainable development.
